On Saturday, May 24th, 10:00am-12:00pm the Gafney Library will be
having a public reception with light refreshments to showcase the works
of John A Girouard, Karen Lord and Cooper Keene.
The Gafney Library is excited to be hosting a vibrant exhibition of local
artistry throughout the month of May, featuring the unique works of hot
glue and crayon encaustic artist John A. Girouard, photographer Karen
Lord, and graphic designer and student Cooper Keene.
This eclectic showcase brings together three distinct creative voices.
Girouard’s unconventional use of hot glue and crayons in encaustic
techniques offers viewers a fresh perspective on texture and color. Lord’s
photography captures stunning moments through a refined lens, and
Keene brings a modern edge with graphic design, blending creativity and
emerging artistic vision.
The Gafney Library encourages visitors to come, explore and experience
the display and the diverse artistic talents flourishing within the region.
