STAX Zine: Volume 1
Spring 2025
The first volume of the STAX zine is a stack of art submissions sent in from over 50 artists. Including friends, family, and fellow artists from the University of Maine, the state of Maine itself, around the U.S, and the world. The goal was to make art of all kinds more accessible and tangible, while highlighting and giving exposure to the artists that surround me. Packed with art of all mediums, the STAX Zine is a gallery on the go; made to be shared, passed on, ran into by chance, or even to be put on a bookshelf to be stumbled upon later.
An open call for submissions was held throughout the month of February 2025, encouraging art of any and all mediums from any level of artist. All artists who submitted their work were guaranteed to included in the zine and would also get their own hard copy. Being put together in my final semester of college and including many of the artists I worked alongside for two years at the University of Maine; the first edition of the zine gives the opportunity to look back at the colleges art scene at this moment in time.
